A new place for ideas.

Well this happens to be my new Blog so what better way to start it up then with a refreshing new congress. This is exciting and for college students out there this might effect you faster then you think hopefully. My favorite Irishman Ten Kennedy has been preaching Student loan Sanity as of late and lucky for him he actually has an opportunity to go out and do something about it. Now that the Dems have taken complete control of congress all Committee Chairpersons change to Dems and who else but the senior senator from Massachusetts is chairperson for the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee. This is literally everything Ted wants to work on bunched up into one title. Hopefully Ted's motivation in these areas will benefit all, but I'm hoping college students will see some loan reforms. On to other issues, what is this speaker Pelosi business I have been hearing about, the Dems are in control of congress and they are throwing a super lefty out there to really stir things up. Many Americans said Iraq was a factor in the way they voted, while the comedy of this is the Iraqis say the US was a factor in how they voted. Now 58% of Virginia decided it wanted to ban gay marriage, the "Virginia is for straight lovers" shirts are being stocked up next to the confederate flag as you read this. On another positive note all 4 Marijuana Initiatives in Massachusetts passed, and both of the Decriminalization voted passed by 60-40 margins this is great for the people down in DC at the Marijuana Policy Project. Not many other groups work as hard to reform the woes of Americas war on drugs as much as they do. On the subject of Washington my trip is now a week away, and I'm going to be meeting with Congressman John Tierney of Massachusetts 6th district. Luckily this is going to be more about thanking him for the great work he is doing then anyone else. Have a great weekend.
